Who is Yoga Share for?
Yoga Share is for anyone aged 18 or above who is interested in yoga, mindfulness and group therapy. It is primarily aimed at those who experience / have experienced psychosis. No previous experience in yoga or mindfulness is needed!
What can I expect from this group?
A safe, warm, supportive space where you will be listened to. Our small group offers a place to ‘check in’, and to explore how you are feeling. Previous subjects discussed have included health and self-care, feelings of isolation, personal challenges, fears and hopes.
As well as talking, we explore the practices of yoga and mindfulness. We learn how yoga/mindfulness can reduce stress, anxiety and reactivity, improve mood, and increase our capacity for paying attention.
The group is about discovering one’s hidden strengths and capabilities, and learning more about self-compassion, self-acceptance and self-care.
Everything is invitational. If you don’t wish to share or participate there are blankets, cushions and mats for you to rest.
What do I wear for Yoga Share?
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
