Who is Friends in Need for?
Friends in Need is for anyone aged 18 or above experiencing difficulties with depression and/or anxiety.
What can I expect from this group?
You can expect a safe, non-judgmental space where like-minded people come together in order to end loneliness and isolation that often comes with depression. This support network is a friendly and easy way to share understanding, information and friendship through recovery.
It’s safe here. I have no anxiety when I come, it’s something about this place.
When is Friends in Need held?
Friends in Need is held for an hour and a half every Wednesday evening, from 6pm – 7.30pm.
Where is it held?
During the C-19 pandemic, this group meets online using Zoom (www.zoom.com). To take part you will need to make an account for yourself at the Zoom website, download and install Zoom. After you have joined the group the facilitator will email you the details needed by Zoom to log in for a session. Five minutes before each the session starts, start Zoom, chose “Join a Meeting”, enter the details we have sent you. Each session uses the same details.
