Psychosis Therapy Project
The Psychosis Therapy Project offers treatment for people experiencing psychosis, with a team of psychoanalytically trained practitioners. The service is committed to strategies of stabilisation and the management of persistent symptoms. The therapeutic work we offer is long-term (up to one year), giving clients time and space to articulate distressing experiences and cultivate robust and enduring solutions.
Where are Psychosis Therapy sessions held?
The South London branch of the Psychosis Therapy Project operates within the ‘Psychotherapy for All’ Clinic at Lambeth & Southwark Mind, 4th floor, 336 Brixton Road, London SW9 7AA.
Who is this service available to?
The service is available to Lambeth and Southwark residents aged 18 and over who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis.
The term ‘psychosis’ is generally used to describe states of mind characterised by experiences such as:
- Hearing voices
- Seeing or sensing things that others don’t
- Experiencing unusual beliefs or paranoia
- Experiencing invasive ideas or bodily sensations
- Major depressive or manic episodes
These experiences can be frightening or overwhelming. They are much more common than most people think. For more information download our leaflet.
