Trustee, Lambeth & Southwark Mind
Job title: Trustee, Lambeth & Southwark Mind
This is a great time to join Lambeth & Southwark Mind as we transition to a brighter future and formulate a new strategy for the charity.
Lambeth & Southwark Mind are seeking up to four trustees, with a wide range of perspectives, to join the Board. We serve a diverse part of London, with high levels of mental health need, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
We particularly encourage applications from people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities and other under-represented groups with the relevant skills and experience. This also includes people with lived experience of mental health issues and people across a broad age range.
We are seeking candidates from the private, public or voluntary sector with one or more of the following areas of experience and expertise:
- Fundraising (securing contracts to provide services, and/or raising funds from individuals and corporates)
- Clinical Expertise (as a psychotherapist or clinical psychologist, ideally including a management oversight role over services)
- Strong connections with local communities in Lambeth and Southwark
- Lived experience of mental health issues
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to expand our existing Trustee Board, to bring fresh, innovative and realistic ideas to the charity, and to roll up their sleeves and work as a team with the board and staff to take the charity forward. The typical time commitment for a trustee is 1-2 days per month.
