Corporate Fundraising

Many companies and businesses recognise the importance of their social responsibility in supporting their communities and that doing this through an association with a local charity has proven to increase and enhance customer awareness and loyalty.

A partnership with Lambeth and Southwark Mind demonstrates that your organisation is committed to supporting the wellbeing of the local community and can only be a bonus for your brand and your reputation.

The demand for mental health services is increasing and we need to provide more services in our boroughs so that we can reach more people in the fight for better mental health.

Some of your employees may experience a mental health problem and by supporting us, you are in turn supporting your workforce, their families, and their friends.

Charity of the Year

If you want to make a difference, then choose Lambeth and Southwark Mind as your charity of the year! Not only will it have positive benefits for people to whom our services are a vital lifeline, but it will also enhance your public and employee relations.

Committing to one charity for a year or more will enable us to build a relationship with you and work with you to develop an exciting programme of fundraising activity and opportunities for your employees to get involved.

Organise your own event

From a sports day to a quiz night, to a dinner and dance, organising your own fundraising event to support our work. It is a great way for you to entertain your staff and customers and raise money for a great cause at the same time. We will support your event by sharing on our social media channels.

Enter a staff team into one of our challenges

We have places in the Royal Parks Half marathon, London Marathon and other events you can sign up to. Individual members of your staff can take part, or you could put forward a team and build some great memories together.

Visit our Events page for more information.

Match Giving

How can you inspire your employees to fundraise? By saying you’ll match their fundraising! Matching funds raised by your staff shows you are supporting what they are doing and encourages them to maximise their fundraising potential.

Volunteering

Encourage your employees to volunteer for our charity. They could help us with fundraising, bucket collections and event promotion. Visit our volunteer page here.

Donate

Making a financial donation would be gratefully received and provides us with an opportunity to develop our services and support more people in need.

The demand for our services continues to increase and the annual cost of sustaining our services is growing. Whilst some of our funding is raised through grants and contracts, we rely on corporate donations and community fundraising to keep our services going.

Reclaim Gift Aid

Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Lambeth and Southwark Mind to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Lambeth and Southwark Mind we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Lambeth and Southwark Mind to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Lambeth and Southwark Mind will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Lambeth and Southwark Mind receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
