Join our team for the first Lambeth and Southwark Mind Triathlon event.
Type of event: Triathlon (Run, Swim, Cycle)
Registration fee: £25
Minimum sponsorship: £450
Distance: 25.75km (Sprint/Sprint Team categories)
About the event
The London Triathlon is the largest triathlon in the world, and it’s coming back in 2019 for its 22nd year in a row! Attracting over 11,000 participants and 30,000 spectators each year, this iconic triathlon has become a must-do event in the sporting calendar.
The event takes place at the ExCeL Centre, Royal Victoria Dock and has a unique urban route, that allows participants to swim, bike & run past the iconic landmarks of our capital.
The Sprint Route consists of a 750m swim, 20km bike ride, and a 5km run.
Each of our five Sprint Route places can be completed by 1 or 3 participants each. If you sign up a group of 3, you will be completing the route as a Sprint Relay, with each person completing a single leg of the race to make up an entire triathlon (one person carries out the swim, another the cycle and finally the third person completes the run).
So you can either complete the swim, cycle and run on your own, or get a friend or two to help!
Where will the money I raise go?
The money you raise will help fund free services that support our local communities; this could be our year-long one-to-one talking therapy for individuals experiencing psychosis or funding towards activities for Friends in Need – a peer support group helping people who suffer from depression or anxiety. You can find more on these and other services we provide under the ‘Our services’ on the homepage.
