YoungMinds Parents Helpline

Overview

Young Minds is a national charity.  The Parents Helpline is a telephone helpline if you are worried about a child or young person, up to the age of 25 years, regarding emotional problems, behaviour or mental health.  You can call the free helpline for confidential, expert advice.
Who contacts YoungMinds?  Parents, carers, grandparents, foster carers – any adult who is worried about a child or young person’s emotions, behaviour or mental health.  They also advise professionals including teachers, school nurses, social workers and counsellors.
You’ll get through to a trained adviser who will talk through the problem and listen to your concerns and questions in complete confidentiality.  Your adviser will help you to understand your child’s behaviour and give you practical advice on where to go next.
