WPF Therapy (Westminster Pastoral Foundation)

Overview

WPF Therapy began in 1969 with a commitment to helping people in distress through the talking therapies. In 2016 they have widened the therapies they offer (which include individual and group therapy) and train a diverse group of people as professional therapists to do this work, with the demands and stresses we all face in today’s world. This combination of practice, teaching and learning enable them to provide an unrivalled service to people in need. All our work is carried out at our location near London Bridge which has excellent transport links.

As a charity, their mission is to advance mental health and wellbeing for the benefit of society and everyone.

They do this in four ways:

  • by providing affordable therapeutic services to promote mental and emotional well-being
  • by providing training and educational opportunities for therapists, and those involved in the caring professions, in order to ensure a skilled workforce is available to deliver effective treatments
  • by supporting, promoting and engaging in research into mental health and its treatment
  • by raising awareness of mental health issues and treatments

WPF Therapy aims to provide access to therapy for many people that might not otherwise be able to get the therapy they need. Their fees aim to be progressive and socially responsible.https://wpf.org.uk/need-to-talk/our-charges/
