Waterloo Community Counselling
Overview
They have been providing counselling and psychotherapy for more than 25 years. They help people resolve emotional issues, reduce anxiety and depression, and gain self-confidence. They offer language counselling to MECS referrals (Multi-Ethnic Counselling Service). MECS was in part set up to provide language counselling to clients who are unable to access counselling in English and therefore need to communicate in their mother tongue.
The service was originally set up as a charity to provide free or low-cost counselling for those that needed it. This is still our aim and is made possible through the financial support of London-based Charitable Trusts and individual donations.
They are now able to provide counselling in British Sign Language.
Please note, they are not an emergency service. If you feel distressed or suicidal, please visit your local A&E or dial 999 for an ambulance.
They do not offer a drop-in service. Please do not turn up without an appointment.
