Turn2us is a national charity that helps people in financial hardship gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and support services. There is a lot of information on the website but there is also a telephone helpline 0808 802 2000.
Check benefit entitlement. Check which means-tested benefits you may be entitled to, including tax credits. Use the Benefits Calculator
Search for a grant. Look for funds that might be able to give you a grant and/or other types of help. Use the Grants Search tool.
