Stockwell Good Neighbours
Overview
Stockwell Good Neighbours is an organisation for older adults who live in the Lambeth area which provides a wide range of social activities and projects to benefit people’s health and well-being and prevent social isolation. There are currently 60 members, and most are of West Indian origin.
They meet in the bright and busy cafe of the Oval House Theatre, filing it with laughter and noise. For many older residents from the local area the group are a lifeline. They run a range of activities such as bingo, dominoes, quizzes, zumba classes and the opportunity to sing in the choir.
