St Luke's Hub Kennington

Overview

St Luke’s Hub is a new community space in Kennington where you can get support and advice on using computers, getting online and financial support and advice.
They host a range of projects and classes that help develop and empower the local community, from employment support programmes to parenting classes. They work with a range of different partners and organisations as well as supporting local residents to get involved and establish their own activities. The Hub is a vibrant space that is led by the community. They are open every day and people can pop in and find out more about what’s going on here and how to get involved.
St Luke’s Hub is a key stakeholder in Lambeth Council’s Financial Resilience work, and part of that is delivering a new financial education project called ‘Money Champions’. The aim of the project is to spread good financial advice and signpost information throughout the local area by using community networks that already exist i.e. schools, churches and other faith groups and libraries. They train up volunteers in all of these networks to offer good, simple financial advice as well as signpost people to expert advice agencies so that people get the right support before their finances reach crisis point.
The Lambeth Living Well Network Hub (see separate entry in this Directory) run a Drop In on Tuesdays, 11am – 3.30pm.  They can assess the mental health and support needs of people who attend and refer to appropriate services.  To make an appointment phone 020 3691 5080.
