Southwark Stop Smoking Service

Overview

Local help to quit
If you need more support, find your local stop smoking service through the Stop Smoking London Portal.  They also provide more general information about quitting.  If you just want to speak to a specially trained advisor, you can call the helpline on 0300 123 1044.
You can also talk to your local pharmacy (pdf, 250kb). They have specialist stop smoking advisors who can help you plan how to quit and support you through the first few difficult weeks after you stop smoking.
Specialist stop smoking services
For smokers who may find it harder to stop smoking or who are housebound, specialist stop smoking services offer more intensive support. This service is for:

  • pregnant women
  • parents with children under 18
  • people with long-term physical health conditions
  • people with mental health conditions
  • routine and manual workers

If you fall into one of these categories, contact the free stop smoking service.  They can give you advice, support and encouragement to help you stop for good.  You can book an appointment by emailing [email protected] or calling them on 0800 169 6002.
