Overview

Solidarity in a Crisis is a peer delivered emotional listening support service for people going through very difficult life events and experiencing feelings of emotional or mental health crisis.

They provide three services:

An out of hours crisis helpline which offers phone support
A Community team which provides face-to-face support in the local community
The Harbour Mental Health Crisis Cafe inside Lewisham Hospital
The service provides support to anyone who lives in Lambeth, Southwark or Lewisham. See the descriptions of each service for eligibility and referral details.

Out of Hours Crisis Helpline:

This service provides peer support over the phone for adults experiencing a mental health crisis.

Freephone: 0300 123 1922 Monday to Friday 6pm to midnight, and Saturday and Sunday from midday to midnight

The Harbour Mental Health Crisis Café

The Harbour Cafe provides a relaxed, non-clinical setting for Lewisham residents who are in distress and need to talk to someone face-to-face. The Harbour
cafe is open seven days a week, from midday to 8pm.

Due to
COVID-19 restrictions we can support up to three people at the same time in the
cafe for a maximum of two hours per person. Once we have received your referral
you can just turn up. You do not need to make an appointment.

The Harbour Cafe is inside Lewisham Hospital, opposite the Ladywell Unit in the Purple zone. The service is available to all Lewisham residents on referral basis and
they can visit us every day for up to three weeks from referral.

The Harbour Crisis Cafe is a partnership between Certitude, University Hospital Lewisham and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

The Community team and Harbour Cafe support people who have been referred by healthcare professionals, social services or other agencies.
