Social Inclusion, Hope and Recovery Project (SHARP) Lambeth
Overview
SHARP provides a range of effective, time-limited, evidence based therapeutic interventions for people in Lambeth with mental health needs, particularly a psychosis. These are aimed to develop coping skills, resilience and confidence and to help people to get on with their lives.
They are involved in researching and developing novel and innovative therapies and ways of working, and their services are shaped and developed in close collaboration with the people who use them.
Interventions offered:
Psychological therapies: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a specialist therapy to address drug and alcohol use, family interventions and AVATAR therapy. hearing voices groups, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and tree of life.
Social Inclusion Therapy: An occupational therapy intervention to help people get the most out of their lives and be able to participate in the things that are important to them. The therapy aims to develop strengths, coping mechanisms and social networks and to achieve individual goals in the areas of leisure, spirituality, education or work.
Health & Wellbeing Programme: A personalised healthy eating, exercise and leisure programme.
