SOBS (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide)

Aim to meet the needs and overcome the isolation of people over 18 years who have been bereaved by suicide.

• National network of self-help support groups (including some in London) which aim to break the isolation of bereavement and provide a safe, confidential environment where people can share their feelings and experiences.

• National phone helpline provides listening support and can put you in touch with your nearest group; also an equivalent e-mail helpline.

.  E-mail support for LGBTQ – lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning.

.  Links to other organisations.

• Booklet can be downloaded from the website and bereavement packs available on request.

• Runs occasional one day conferences and residential events.

Note:  SOBS encourages self-help, they do not provide counselling.
