Runaway Helpline

Overview

Advice to young people aged 11 to 17 years who have run away from home or care or been forced to leave. Can pass on messages to family or carers. Can make referrals to other organisations and can help find a place of safety.
This service is free and confidential and cannot be traced, you do not have to say where you are located.

116 000 is the number to call or text, or see below for email, for advice, support and options if you, or someone you love, goes missing or runs away – it’s a free, 24 hour and confidential service.  They provide around the clock emotional support for the duration of a disappearance.

There is information on the website about: abuse and violence, arguments, bullying, crime, being in care, home and family, emotions feelings and mental health, sexuality and gender identity, sex and sexual health, homelessness and housing, physical health and wellbeing, relationships, school and college, safety, money, gangs, if you are not from the UK.
