Rights of Women

Overview

This is a women’s charity working in a number of ways to help women through the law.  Their services aim to provide women with the legal advice and information they need to understand and use the law and their legal rights. They also work to improve the law for women and increase women’s access to justice.
Their telephone advice lines provide free and confidential legal advice to women.
London Family Law Line 020 7608 1137  Mon 11am-1pm, Tues 2pm-4pm, Wed & Thus 10am-12noon, 2pm-4pm
Criminal Law Line 020 7251 8887  Tues 7pm – 9pm
Crimes they can advise you on:

  • sexual offences including rape and sexual assault
  • domestic violence, harassment and stalking
  • reporting offences to the police and the criminal justice system
  • criminal injuries compensation.

Immigration Law Line – there are 3 different lines for different aspects, see website.
Sexual Harrassment at Work  020 7490 0152, Mon 6-8pm, Tues 5-7pm, Wed 5-6.30pm.
They supply legal guides and handbooks provide vital legal information to help women through the law.  It is important that you understand the law and your legal rights.  Through these free legal guides and handbooks they can help you through the law.
