Self-help fellowship of men and women who need mutual support and understanding in overcoming eating problems, including compulsive overeating, purging, anorexia and bulimia. Uses the 12 Step model of Recovery based on that of AA.
Overeaters Anonymous (QA) is not just about weight loss, gain or maintenance; or obesity or diets. It addresses physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. It is not a religious organisation and does not promote any particular diet. OA charges no dues or fees; it is self-supporting through member contributions.
