Nacro

Overview

Works to prevent crime and to promote the care and resettlement of offenders in the community and community involvement in crime prevention. Provides services such as housing and training for employment to people caught up in the criminal justice system, or at risk of becoming so.
Help and advice to ex-offenders and their families. Free resettlement helpline offering advice e.g. on finding a job, getting benefits, accessing housing and declaring a criminal conviction. Also provides an online directory of organisations providing advice, employment, training, education, housing, help with mental health and addiction problems. Nacro services in London also offer temporary housing and help with finding permanent housing.
Nacro has a Mental Health Unit providing consultancy and training to mental health and criminal justice agencies as well as an information and advice line.
