Mozaic Women’s Wellbeing Project

Overview

The service is for any woman who is experiencing violence. This includes abuse such as threats and intimidation; emotional and mental abuse; physical abuse; sexual abuse; financial abuse; stalking and harassment; FGM; forced marriage; ‘and honour-based violence.

The MOZAIC project provides an accessible woman-centred advocacy service to women who have experienced or are still experiencing domestic violence.  The project is run by 170 Community Project and is based at St. Thomas’ Hospital.

Mozaic can offer:

  • Emotional support
  • Telephone support
  • Referrals to counselling and support groups
  • Liaison with local councils and agencies
  • Practical advice and support (or referrals to specialist agencies on immigration, benefits, child contact, finances, housing/homelessness, police/courts, and voluntary community organisations
  • Help with making a plan for safety.

The service takes referrals from all health professionals within the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust and women may also self-refer.

MOZAIC is a community-run project offering free, confidential and independent support and advice in south London, covering the boroughs of Lewisham, Southwark and Lambeth.
