Mind (The National Association for Mental Health)

Overview

Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

Supports around 200 local, independent affiliated Mind associations across the UK. Organises campaigns, conferences and training courses. Provides an extensive range of books, leaflets, reports, factsheets and other publications available. Publishes a quarterly Mind Membership News magazine. Includes the Mind Link network of service users/survivors, and Diverse Minds, a black and minority ethnic network. Mind Infoline provides information on treatments, services, where to get help, advocacy etc.

Costs:
Services are free but they accept donations and the annual membership subscription £6 for people who are on benefits, unemployed, retired or a full-time student. Others pay £26.
