LIC – Health & Wellbeing Advice Line (for Irish people in London)

Overview

OUR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING ADVICE LINE PROVIDES OVER-THE-PHONE ADVICE. THIS SERVICE IS LED BY OUR RESIDENT NURSE, CIARA, WHO IS AVAILABLE TO PROVIDE HER EXPERTISE TO THOSE WHO ARE STRUGGLING WITH THEIR MENTAL OR PHYSICAL HEALTH.
We can help you with one-to-one support on the following issues:

  • Empowering & educating individuals to better understand their health, make informed decisions and achieve better outcomes with regard to their wellbeing.
  • Support in accessing help from a GP, signposting to statutory services and other Health/Medical Advocacy – Assistance understanding medical reports, discharge letters, liaising with health professionals all to ensure your health is being managed correctly.
  • Helping individuals understand newly diagnosed or existing health conditions
    Advice on improving your mood & staying well including staying active and eating well.
  • Creating an action plan based on individual health needs for those living with mental health & physical health conditions, identifying what help is available to you.
  • Identifying social needs with the aim of combating loneliness and isolation.
