Overview
The London Irish Centre charity is the heart of the Irish community in London. The charity provides care, culture and community to the Irish across London, working from the iconic London Irish Centre in Camden Town.
The Irish community in London is large, multi-generational and diverse. Through events, gatherings and online platforms, they connect and support this community.

- Befriending – this invaluable community service matches volunteers with isolated or housebound older Irish people
- Volunteering – over 100 volunteers generously offer their time, skills and networks to support the charity’s work in a range roles
- Family playgroup – we engage new generations of Irish in London with Irish culture through a monthly playgroup

They present London’s leading programme of Irish arts and culture, both at their Camden home and in partnership with London’s best cultural venues.
They provide specialist accredited advice and assistance on a wide range of welfare issues. They can offer support to people at crisis point with items such as food and clothing, as well as longer-term casework such as advocacy with housing and benefits.
They also offer outreach services to Irish people over the age of 55, who have reduced mobility and are unable to attend the centre in person. An outreach worker can come to your home an assess your needs and link you in with appropriate services.
While you can make an appointment to see one of our Advice Workers you do not need to have an appointment to seek advice.
We have a drop in Service in Camden three days a week with emergency drop-in. Telephone opening hours are 10am-4pm Monday to Friday. We can also book face-to-face appointments for priority cases.
