Link Age Southwark

Overview

Link Age Southwark is a vibrant local charity providing friendly volunteer support to over 500 isolated, older people in Southwark. They have been working in Southwark for over 23 years, reducing loneliness and isolation and helping older people maintain active lives within the community. Their fantastic volunteers support older people to thrive in later life, through:

  • One-to-one befriending visits
  • Activity groups with volunteer transport
  • Practical support including light gardening and help with odd jobs
  • Intergenerational work with local schools
  • Services are available to all Southwark residents aged 60+, and they also offer specialist support services for people of any age living with mild to moderate dementia.
  • They are always looking for more volunteers to bring joy to the lives of older people.
