LEO (Lambeth Early Onset) Inpatient Unit

Overview

18 bed acute psychiatric admission ward. Offers assessment and treatment specifically for people aged 16-35 years who are initially referred to LEO during a first or second psychotic episode. The unit comprises of 10 male and 8 female beds which are all single rooms with an en-suite toilet.

The aim is to improve clinical and social outcomes through early symptom management, psychological adjustment, vocational support, family support, periods of medication-free assessment, low-dose medication, cognitive and psychosocial interventions.
