Latin American Disabled People’s Project

Overview

They help to improve the quality of life of disabled Spanish and Portuguese speaking people living in London. They also work with carers, families and communities to  improve the quality of their lives, break isolation and support community integration.  This includes support for people with mental health problems.

Services include a Wellbeing and Mental Health Project.  They have set aside two days a week relating to health support and offer 1 to 1 Mental Health and Well-being Support: drop-in sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00 to 15:00. If required, they are happy to extend their outreach to people unable to leave their homes. Please get in touch with the contact details above if you’d like a confidential discussion to find out more.

They also provide advice, advocacy,  information, representation on welfare, disability benefits, housing and health services. In addition they provide  IT and English classes, workshops, language coaching, interpreting, citizenship processes, children and family activities, befriending services, user development services, social and cultural events and volunteering opportunities.
