Drug & Alcohol Service (Lambeth)
Overview
The Drug and Alcohol Service (Lambeth) is part of the Addictions Division. They provide assessment, treatment and advice for people, aged over 18, who have substance misuse (drug and/or alcohol) related problems. They care for people who live in the London Borough of Lambeth. They provide a Tier 2 addictions assessment and brief intervention clinic, and a Tier 3 addictions assessment and treatment service.
Tier 2 services provide drug-related information, advice, assessment, referrals, interventions (including needle exchange) and aftercare.
Tier 3 services provide specialised drug assessments, treatment, care and referrals, delivered in the community or on hospital sites. They provide people with a care plan and a key worker. They are often delivered alongside Tier 2 services, on the same premises and by the same staff.
There is also a Lambeth ChemClinic which is particularly designed to support gay men who use drugs and drugs for sex and who want to get more control of their drug use, reduce harm or become free of drug use. There is self-referral for assessment Monday to Friday at 9 am, and you are advised to arrive at 8.45 am because they see people on a first-come first-served basis. Alternatively, email for an appointment [email protected]
