Overview

Citizens Advice Merton & Lambeth (CAML) is an independent charity that provides information and advice to help people who live, work or study in Merton or Lambeth to resolve problems.

CAML is part of a national network of over 300 local charities that deliver advice across the country, overseen by a national framework provided by Citizens Advice.

The twin aims of the Citizens Advice service are:

  • helping people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and
  • influencing policymakers.

If your situation is more complicated, they will take you through an assessment. This is a quick interview they do by freephone, face-to-face in a drop-in session, via email or web chat. If your problem is tricky and you need some expert help with it then their assessors can book you an appointment with one of our trained advisers.
