Headway – The Brain Injury Association

Overview

Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury. Through its network of more than 125 groups and branches across the UK, it provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, as well as to professionals in the health and legal fields.

Their Mission is:
To promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provide information, support and services to survivors, their families and carers. In addition, Headway will campaign to reduce the incidence of brain injury.

Headway Helpline is a confidential service available to anyone with a question about brain injury – from survivors and carers to students and professionals. They can discuss a wide range of issues relating to brain injury, from the initial injury and its effects to long-term rehabilitation and support.
