Forensic High Support & Recovery (Southwark)
Overview
The Forensic and General High Support Team is a community mental health team (CMHT). They provide intensive support, monitoring, rehabilitation and advice for people, aged 18-65, who have severe and ongoing mental health problems and learning disabilities, and a history of offending.
They provide care for people with complex forensic needs that require 24-hour or medium support accommodation.
They care for people who live in the London Borough of Southwark and for people who have been funded by Southwark but placed out of the borough.
The team of health and social care workers includes nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, support workers, and a consultant psychiatrist. They assess people in their own homes or in outpatient clinics. Their aim is to move people into lower levels of support and eventually into independent living.
