Citizens Advice Southwark has launched a new service called ‘Help to Claim’ for those who need help to apply for Universal Credit in Southwark.  People will now be able to get support with submitting their Universal Credit application through to getting their first full payment.  Help will be tailored to the individual and will be available face-to-face, over the phone on 0800 144 8 444 and online through the Help to Claim enquiry form

Citizens Advice Southwark also coordinates quarterly meetings with local agencies and the Department for Work and Pensions.  The purpose of the meetings is for the DWP to share information about changes and for representatives of local organisations to feedback on issues that are affecting the benefits claimants that they support.

The national Citizens Advice website offers online advice. Use the built-in search tool to find information, or select your area of interest from the following categories:  Debt, Benefits, Immigration, Housing and Employment.
