South Asian Community Mental Health Service (AMARDEEP) Lambeth
Overview
A community-based assessment, treatment and advice service for people in the South Asian community, aged 18-65, who have a range of mental health and complex social care problems. They care for people living in the London Borough of Lambeth.
Their aim is to provide care for people in the South Asian community who, for cultural or language reasons are unable, or who refuse, to use sector-based mental health services.
Their adult community mental health team (CMHT) offers a range of culturally inclusive care and treatment services, and they are able to communicate in Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu as well as English.
The service runs a group every Wednesday, 1pm – 4pm, at The Woodlawns Centre, Leigham Court Road, Streatham.
Referral required from GP or Community Mental Health Team.
