South Asian Community Mental Health Service (AMARDEEP) Lambeth


A community-based assessment, treatment and advice service for people from the South Asian community living in Lambeth, aged 18-65, who have a range of mental health and complex social care problems.
Their aim is to provide care for people in the South Asian community who, for cultural or language reasons are unable, or who refuse, to use sector-based mental health services. Their adult community mental health team (CMHT) offers a range of culturally inclusive care and treatment services, and they are able to communicate in Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu as well as English.

Various activities, celebration of religious and cultural festivals and outings.

Referral required from GP or Community Mental Health Team.
