Overview

Albany Trust Charity is one of the few specialist counselling and psychotherapy services based within South London, that provides high quality professional support around gender, sexuality and relationship issues. They also offer a low-cost clinic. their therapies are based on evidence about what works and feedback from our clients about what is most helpful.

Albany Trust provides expert professional help specifically to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community as well as anyone looking for help with problems related to sexual wellbeing that are having an impact on their relationships. They offer help for a wide range of issues – from sexual orientation to sexual difficulties to coping with an affair.

They offer both short and long term counselling and psychotherapy for: anxiety/depression, stress, affairs, jealousy, trust, intimacy and sexual wellbeing.

The services offered include:
Low cost counselling
One-to-one/ individual counselling
Couples counselling
Group therapy
LGBT counseling for individuals and couples
Brief counseling for specific issues such as sexual addiction.

The staff all adhere to the code of ethics regulated by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy under the Professional Standards Authority.

Opening times:
Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am - 4pm. However therapists see clients Monday - Saturday. Evenings appointments are also available.

Costs:
They offer two different services: Low cost therapy with supervised trainees ranging from £10 to £45 for individuals and £40 - £55 for couples. They offer these services to people on benefits, and other difficult financial strains. Full fee paying service: £60 for individuals and £75 for a couple, with their qualified therapists. A therapy session lasts for 50 minutes. They do understand the financial demands on everyone at the moment and try to take these into consideration.
