Recovery in Action

Overview

This project aims to reduce the social isolation experienced by people with mental health issues, living within London inner city communities. Through a structured program of group work and tailored one-to-one support the project enables participants to identify and achieve personal goals, work towards better social integration and develop pathways to a healthier, more positive and sustainable life experience.
They offer up to 6 months of one to one peer mentoring for people using mental health services in Lambeth and Southwark. The peer mentors are all highly trained and all have a lived experience of using mental health and/or addiction services. They are networked with a myriad of different mental health sector organisations and service providers in and around Lambeth and Southwark, so the mentors are regularly updated about services that may be useful to the people they are working with.
There seem to be a variety of activities in Lambeth and Southwark.  Contact to find out more.
This initiative also includes the Urban Foxx Project. This Project is an office clearance / light removals service that helps the project remain financially sustainable. Any furniture or household / office items that are safe to use (and still usable) are donated to the service users who we support.

Meets every Wednesday 3pm – 6pm.
Food, discussion and infrmation sharing.
