Alastair is passionate about the wellbeing and support of vulnerable people within our communities, in particular individuals who struggle with low self-esteem and mental health related issues. Alastair has a background in financial accounting. He has worked for several organisations in senior leadership roles, within corporate companies, charities and local authorities based in United Kingdom. Alastair has lived and worked overseas for several years in Japan, Korea and Norway.


Chrstine Thompson

Service Manager

Christine is passionate and proud to be part of the Lambeth and Southwark mind team who continue to embrace challenges, develop new skills and achieve great accomplishments. She is also the Manger of the Black River Counselling Service, primarily created for the Black African/Afro Caribbean Community in both boroughs. This service has received funding for 2-3 years from the amazing Fishmongers Company’s Charitable Trust (FCCT). Christine has lived most of her adult life in Lambeth and believes that providing wellbeing and support to this community is essential.


Sally Bushell

Grants Fundraiser

Sally is an experienced grants fundraiser and charity specialist. She is committed to supporting and improving mental health services for all and challenging the stigma associated with mental ill-health. Her professional background spans the public, private and charity sectors. She brings expertise in a number of key areas, having held senior management positions and is passionate about developing new and effective partnerships.

Joan Kennedy

General Psychotherapy and Information Service Manager

Joan Kennedy is the Manager for the General Psychotherapy Service. This is a free service and supports people on very low incomes (earning less than £15k annually) and people in receipt of benefits. The service is funded by the Big Lottery. Joan also manages the Information Service, a telephone and email signposting service. Volunteers help out with the online directory as well with calls, emails and general admin. This service is funded by SE London CCG.

Venus Caesar

Information Service Advisor and Telephone Befriending Service Manager

Venus is the Telephone Befriending Manager & Information Service Advisor. She is passionate about supporting people with mental health issues, Venus joined the staff team in 2019, She started her working career as a Staff Nurse in ICU then moved to work on the Maternity wards. Many years later, Venus moved to work in an NHS Research & Development Department. She also volunteered for 5 years with Lambeth Vocational Services, part of the South London & Maudsley Trust (SLaM). Venus is very proud of her heritage. Her mother was Italian, and her father was of Canadian/ West Indian descent.
